Art Without Expectation
A half-day of colour, paper and no finished piece — for people who stopped making things a long time ago.

- 4 hours

Three hours at a small frame loom, working slowly enough that the hands lead and the thinking quietens.
This is a workshop about pace more than technique. You will learn a simple over-and-under weave, then spend most of the session repeating it — long enough for the repetition to stop feeling like a task and start feeling like rest.
There is no finished piece you are expected to produce. Some people leave with a small woven square. Some leave with a few centimetres and a much quieter head. Both are a good use of an afternoon.
Looms, fibre and tea are provided. You are welcome to sit in silence the whole time, or to talk. The room usually finds its own balance somewhere in between.
